Brief: I had to create a title sequence for a book of my choice which I had read in the last five years. I chose “Gone Again” by Doug Johnstone. I felt this was a great book for a basis of a series due to its very dramatic nature.
The book is set in Portobello and tells the story of a mother (Lauren) disappearing, leaving behind her husband (Mark) and son (Nathan). She has already left once before the plot of the book takes place after suffering from post natal depression after the birth of Nathan.
The animation tries to capture the relationship of Lauren and Nathan whilst also displaying the previous disappearance and foreshadows what is to become without giving away any major parts of the story.
